The 100% cotton blue baseball caps are adjustable with a velcro strap back and embroidered with the white text in all caps 'TIME TO REBOOT' and set in a cathode ray font. The strap is an adjustable self-gripping back fastener that will keep the cap snug on any sized noggin. The blue cap is a bright royal blue reminiscent of the 'blue screen of death' - a critical error screen displayed by Microsoft Windows operating system used to indicate a system crash. The font is inspired by letters woven into fabric in a loom but visually appears as letters being rendered like a scan line - a line of video on a cathode-ray tube (CRT) display of a television or computer monitor. This connection makes for strong and legible embroidery and makes the historic connection from the loom to the computer. The letters take up approximately 2 inches (wide) and 1 inch (height) on the front of the cap. The cap has a pre-formed but malleable peak and two embroidered ventilation eyelets.

As an avid cap wearer I designed this blue screen blue baseball cap last year after the Crowdstrike error took down aviation computers in July 2024 halting travel. I had just arrived to spend 10 days at hacker camp in Eindhoven and my friends back home were texting me to ask if it was me.
